On Sunday afternoon East Keswick went out of the Betty Chadderton Cup semi-final after a poor all round display against a strong St Chads team.
Batting first East Keswick got to sixty-plus for the loss of just one wicket before being bowled out for just 106 with only three Keswick players made it into double figures. Some poor shot selection and running between the wickets was then compounded by a bowling and fielding display that saw 21 wides and four dropped catches, three of which could well have left Chads struggling at 45-5. Instead they cruised to victory with plenty of overs in hand.
