East Keswick Cricket Club has a long tradition of being an integral and successful part of East Keswick village life. Since 1923 the club have been Wetherby League 1st Division Champions on no less than ten occasions and in the past four seasons alone the club has seen four successive promotions, with three of these as Division Champions and one as Runners-up.
Success on the field however comes with a great deal of hard work and expense off it. Before a ball has been bowled the club has to find enough money to pay for the following each season:
- Ground maintenance: £1,000
- Yearly ground rates: £800
- Wetherby League registration fees: £300
- League approved cricket balls: £530 (minimum cost)
- TOTAL RUNNING COSTS - £2,630
If you wish to contribute to your village cricket clubs ongoing success then you can do so in the following ways:
- One off donation: Any donation regardless of size will be gratefully accepted.
- Match day ball sponsorship: £20 with your name on the Match Day Sponsorship board at the ground and recognition for your support throughout the season (16th April - 10th Sept.)
- Club Sponsorship: If you run a local business and would like to sponsor the club then contact us to discuss the issue on : eastkeswickcc@googlemail.com
- All sponsors for the forthcoming season will be recognised on the Our Sponsors section of this website.
