Week 21 - Results

Week 21 saw East Keswick's first team crash to defeat at second place Leeds Police. With Leeds Police making 176-8 East Keswick looked to have a good chance of winning the game, but this took a heavy blow early on as the team stumbled to 25-5, with only Mark Abram offering stiff resistance as he batted through to the 40th over leaving East Keswick 77 all out. The loss means that both Leeds Police are level at the top of Division 2 on points and equal in the tie breaker of the number of 6-point games won.

The second team, for the second week running, were left to field only nine men against bottom of the table Wighill Park. Losing the toss and batting first East Keswick A made 140 all out with Ashley Richardson once again coming to the rescue making a superb unbeaten 101 not out.

In reply Wighill Park were bowled out for 116 with Andy Barber producing career best figures of 14-3-30-6, Ashley Richardson 11-5-21-3 and skipper Andrew Hirst taking the final wicket of the game with the last ball of his first over.

The win still leaves East Keswick 'A' with an outside chance of promotion if they can win their last game against South Milford (away) and either Saxton or Garforth lose theirs.
