The promotion picture as portrayed on the website is correct as there is a need to move clubs up to fill the vacancies left by Spofforth, Spofforth A & Little Ribston the picture is clearer if you look through all the divisions rather than just focusing on div 6. As a one team club there is no reason for Wighill Park not dropping (sic) into Div 6 if they fill a relegation slot in Div 5.

Promotion from Division 6
I had a quick reply from Kevin Hutchinson who explained that the promotion numbers for Division 6 are correct as per the league table. That's no excuse for not finishing second though....

Not necessarily as it does mean teams further down the league are still in with a shout of being promoted, where as just 2 up would mean most teams with little to play for...
