Week 18 - Results

Week 18 saw both East Keswick teams win yet again.

The first team travelled to Bilton in Ainsty where batting first they scored 228 all out. In reply the home side managed 189/9 giving East Keswick a five point win and keeping them clear at the top of Division 2.

The second team hosted Little Ribston hoping to take revenge for earlier in the season. Winning a good toss Ribston were put into bat where once again some excellent bowling and fielding reduced the away team to 67 all out.

Andy Barber removed the three opening batsmen whilst returning figures of 9-2-35-3 before Ashley Richardson ripped through the middle order and was twice on a hatrick ball before finishing with figures of 4-2-3-5. Both were supported well with Farid Hussain (11-2-21-0) who bowled well with little luck, and Mohammad Kamran (1.1-0-2-1) who picked up the final wicket. Andrew Hirst took three catches behind the stumps.

In reply Keswick knocked the runs off for the loss of 3 wickets with Ashley Richardson (45*), and Neil Chapman (12*) reaching the target despite some nervous moments early on as both Andrew Hirst and Farid Hussain fell thanks to some good Ribston bowling.

The win takes the team into third place in the table with the game away at Saxton next week looking like a very important fixture.
