The club is looking into having a wind turbine erected at the bottom end of the ground. Standing around 30ft high this would generate electricity which would be put back into the national grid. The Sports Association would have to pay out around £1,100 for initial fees, but the rest of the funding comes externally. There would be a £250 servicing cost per year also.
It would then be hoped that the club would make money from the electricity that is put back into the national grid (figures of up to £5k a year have been mentioned). It was decided that pending a Sports Association meeting that it would be worthwhile pursuing the idea further.
- Site screens to be erected for new season
- Work to be done on the clubhouse
- Ground is in good condition, some re-seeding needs to be done to cover football field lines
- Sponsorship ideas for the club, including payment for cricket balls
All to be discussed at the next meeting which will be in a couple of weeks time.
